Video: Stabbing at Amsterdam Sloterdijk station; 3 hurt
Three people were stabbed and injured at the Sloterdijk station in Amsterdam Nieuw-West on Tuesday evening. One had injuries severe enough to require hospitalization. The police later arrested two people, AT5 reported.
Emergency services, including police, ambulances, and a trauma helicopter, responded to the scene at 8:52 p.m. Exactly what happened is not yet clear.
According to the Amsterdam broadcaster, first responders did not find the victims at the same location. At least one injured person was found at the front door of the station near Radarweg. Another victim was found further away at a coach stop on Kastrupstraat.
The police cordoned off the station for investigation. At this stage, the police have not disclosed any information about the motive for or the circumstances around the stabbing.
The condition of the person who was hospitalized is also unknown.
