PSV's league title to be celebrated in Eindhoven on Tuesday
The municipality of Eindhoven congratulated PSV on winning the national title and announced that the football team will be celebrated on Stadhuisplein on Tuesday.
Due to the celebration, Stadhuisplein will be closed off all day on Tuesday and inaccessible by car or public transport, the municipality said. An event area will also be set up on the Markt, a square in the city center.
If Stadhuisplein and the Markt are full on Tuesday, the municipality will open additional locations: the 18 Septemberplein, Catharinaplein, Stationsplein, and Oude Stadsgracht. The celebration can be followed on large screens at all locations.
The stage program on Stadhuisplein begins at 1:30 p.m. From 3:00 p.m., the PSV squad will parade through the city on a flatbed truck. The tour starts at the Philips Stadium. The celebration on the balcony will follow in the late afternoon, and the festivities will end at 7:00 p.m., when the squares will close.
The Inwonersplein, a municipal office where locals can arrange practical matters such as applying for a driver's license, will be closed on Tuesday due to the ceremony.
