Video: 17-year-old killed, another injured in single-car crash in Kessel

A 17-year-old boy from Peel en Maas died Friday night in a single-vehicle crash in Kessel, Limburg, after the car he was in collided with a commercial building. The accident occurred around 11:45 p.m. on the Baarloseweg, NOS reports.

An 18-year-old male passenger, also from Peel and Maas, was seriously injured and taken to a hospital.

Police have not yet determined who was driving, and the cause of the crash remains unknown. Video footage from the scene shows extensive damage to the building.

A police spokesperson said, “The circumstances of the accident are still unknown." The same night, a separate single-vehicle crash in Gorssel killed two minors after their car left the road and struck a tree.
