Dutch model Yfke Sturm frequently mentioned in released Epstein files
Dutch model Yfke Sturm frequently came up in the Epstein files released by the United States Department of Justice on Friday, Hart van Nederland and Shownieuws reported. They found dozens of mentions of her name, including highly explicit private messages apparently between Sturm and Jeffrey Epstein.
According to Hart van Nederland, the documents show that the two had intensive contact from late 2011, via email, text message, and Skype. The contact started three years after Epstein was convicted of soliciting a child into prostitution and was required to register as a sex offender.
The contact began in December 2011, when Epstein wrote to Sturm’s email address, asking her to help him find new assistants. He was looking for young men or women, no older than 25, willing to work hard for long hours with lots of travel.
Epstein was also apparently involved in Sturm’s divorce from her then-partner, Imad Izemrane, offering her financial help and divorce lawyers. He even told Sturm what to say to her ex. In one exchange, he told her to email Izemrane and threaten to make public that she financially supported him for many years.
The programs also found sexually explicit conversations. One from February 2012 involved Epstein instructing Sturm on how to take a photo in “massage pose,” telling her to “make it very, very sexy.” A few days later, he asked for more photos.
In another exchange from December 2012, the author, using Sturm’s email address, indicated her New Year’s Eve plans and responded to Epstein saying he was on his island. “Any cute girls?” the sender wrote Epstein.
After 2012, the contact seems to have decreased. There were fewer exchanges in 2013 and 2014, and in 2015, Sturm informed Epstein that she was pregnant with her boyfriend's child.
Hart van Nederland pointed out that much remains unclear about the nature and extent of the contact between Sturm and Epstein. Not all of the documents are public. It is also unknown how Sturm reflects on this contact and what she knew about Epstein’s past. According to Shownieuws, she was unavailable for comment on Sunday.
The U.S. Department of Justice released millions of pages from the Epstein files on Friday. The documents mention many powerful individuals, including Bill Gates, Woody Allen, Donald Trump, and Bill Clinton. The names of several European royals also appear, including former British Prince Andrew and Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
