Netflix subscription prices to rise in the Netherlands
Netflix will raise subscription prices in the Netherlands starting Monday. Dutch subscribers have paid 9.99 euros per month for a basic subscription, which will now increase by 1 euro.
Subscribers who want to watch on two screens simultaneously will pay 15.99 euros, up from 13.99 euros. The most expensive plan, which allows up to four screens at once, will increase by 2 euros to 20.99 euros per month. The monthly cost for an extra user outside the household will rise 25 percent, to 4.99 euros, BNR reports.
“Because we continually increase the value we offer our members, we occasionally ask them to pay a little more,” a Netflix spokesperson said.
Netflix has already raised prices earlier this year in countries including the United States, France, and the United Kingdom. The last price increase in the Benelux region was in May 2024. Netflix is also raising prices in Belgium and Luxembourg.
In some countries, Netflix offers lower-priced subscriptions that include advertisements, including the U.S., Germany, and France.
