Suspect arrested following morning shooting in Amsterdam Zuid

Police arrested a suspect after a shooting on Hectorstraat in Amsterdam Zuid on Saturday morning. Authorities have not confirmed whether anyone was injured.

According to AT5, the shooting was reported to police around 9:00 a.m. Following the report, the street was sealed off while officers conducted an investigation.

Around 11:00 a.m., a suspect was detained a short distance from the scene, near the Swift soccer field.

A police spokesperson confirmed that shots were fired but could not provide additional details about what happened or whether anyone was hurt.
