Syrian woman, 24, missing in Almere; Police fear for her life

A 24-year-old Syrian woman went missing in Almere on Thursday. The police fear that she has fallen victim to a serious crime. The police are looking for 34-year-old Omar Alhamad in connection with her disappearance.

The young woman was last seen at the Albert Heijn supermarket on Olivier van Noorstraat at around 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The police believe she got into a car with Omar Alhamad. She has been missing since.

Alhamad usually drives a gray Peugeot 307 SW, license plate 36-LH-RN, but may have been using a different car, the police said.

The police shared photos of the missing woman and Alhamad on Sunday. According to the police, Alhamad has a stocky build, short dark hair, and tanned skin.

The woman has a slim build and was wearing a black djellaba with white stripes and light-colored sneakers on the day of her disappearance.

The police did not elaborate on the relationship between the women and Alhamad.
