Two wounded in Rotterdam café shooting; second shooting follows hours later
Two people were wounded in a shooting around 12:30 a.m. near a café on Witte van Haemstedestraat, police said. The victims, a man and a woman, were transported to a hospital. About two hours later, a second shooting occurred during an assault on a 22-year-old man from Schiedam at Hooghagen. Police reported that the victim was not hit by the gunfire but was severely beaten and robbed by multiple assailants.
The man was hospitalized after the attack, having been transported by ambulance. Police confirmed that the victim’s belongings were taken during the robbery.
