Two people injured in separate shootings in Rotterdam and Dordrecht; one arrested
Two people were injured in separate shootings Saturday night in Rotterdam and Dordrecht, both of which remain under investigation, according to NOS. A 19-year-old man turned himself in to police in Dordrecht after the shooting, while no arrests have been made in Rotterdam.
A 44-year-old woman was wounded in a shooting in Dordrecht around 11:40 p.m. The incident took place near the intersection of Prunuslaan and Rozemarijnstraat in the Dubbeldam neighborhood.
According to local news reports, the woman was in a vehicle equipped with a cherry picker when shots were fired from another car. She was conscious and received treatment at the hospital for her injuries.
Separately, in Rotterdam, a 43-year-old man was shot around 11:35 p.m. at a home on Kabeljauwsestraat in the city’s Oude Noorden district. The victim was conscious following the incident and was taken to the hospital for treatment, according to police.
