Dutch exports see 2.9% growth in February; imports increase by 3.6%

The Netherlands saw a 2.9 percent increase in goods exports in February 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, according to figures released by Statistics Netherlands (CBS). The rise was largely driven by higher exports of machinery, chemicals, and petroleum products.

Imports of goods also rose in February, increasing by 3.6 percent compared to the same month in 2024. The rise was largely attributed to higher imports of electrical and optical equipment, as well as petroleum products.

The CBS Exportradar for April showed less unfavorable conditions for exports compared to the previous month. This improvement was mainly due to less negative producer confidence in Germany and the broader Eurozone.

Additionally, Dutch manufacturers expressed less pessimism about export orders in April. According to CBS, this further indicates a potential stabilization in the export environment.
