Sunny and warm day ahead for Netherlands; Temps up to 20°C tomorrow, Friday
The Netherlands is in for a wonderful spring day on Wednesday, with plenty of sunshine and maximums up to 18 degrees. Tomorrow and Friday will be even warmer, with thermometers hitting the 20 degrees mark in several places, the KNMI expects.
“It is sunny and dry,” the KNMI said about Wednesday. “The wind comes from the east and is moderate, sometimes strong along the coast.” Maximums will range between 15 degrees in the north to up to 18 degrees in some places in the south.
Thursday will also be sunny and dry, with a moderate easterly wind. Maximums will range between 17 degrees in the north and 20 degrees in the south. The Wadden Islands will be a few degrees cooler.
Friday will still be sunny, dry, and warm, with maximums around 20 degrees. “From the weekend, it will be clearly colder with initially still a lot of sun. After the weekend, somewhat more cloud cover, but probably persistently dry,” the meteorological institute said.
The KNMI expects maximums between 14 and 17 degrees on Saturday, and between 11 and 14 degrees on Sunday. That is nearer to typical for the start of April. The long-term average maximum for the first ten days of April is 12.5 degrees.
