Partly sunny days and cold nights in Netherlands this weekend
After a week of wet, changeable weather, the Netherlands will have sunshine and no rain this weekend. The nights and mornings will be very cold, with minimums below zero, so remember your gloves and scarf if you’re heading out early, Weeronline said.
Friday will be a fairly calm day, with regular sunshine and maximums around 6 or 7 degrees. There may be scattered showers here and there.
Those will disappear by the time the week ends. Saturday and Sunday will both be dry, Weeronline is certain. The extent of the sunshine is still a bit unclear. Both days will start cloudy, misty, and foggy.
On Saturday, the northern parts of the country may have cloud cover well into the afternoon. “Elsewhere the sun will shine brightly.” On Sunday, “the greyness will disappear again fairly quickly, and then a fairly sunny day will follow.” Both days will have little wind and maximums will climb to 5 or 6 degrees in most places.
The nights and mornings will be cold, with minimums below freezing. But temperatures should climb to above zero throughout the country by mid-morning.
“In the new week, there is a good chance that the dry weather will continue,” Weeronline said. “The sun will shine regularly, and there will be little wind. Wednesday will be a bit more cloudy and there will be some rain, but in general, it will be a dry week.” Maximums will range between 5 and 8 degrees, the weather service expects.
