Man who is related to child sex abuse suspect is assaulted in Enkhuizen

A family member of the 26-year-old man from Enkchuizen, who is suspected of abuse and possessing and filming child sex abuse, was attacked on Wednesday night. The police reported this on Friday. The victim is a 61-year-old man from the place in Noord-Holland.

The assault happened at around 6 p.m. on the Kwartellaan in Enckhuizen. The man was insulted by an unknown person on the street. When he tried to cycle away, the assaulter went after him on his bicycle and physically assaulted him. The victim was pushed into the bushes and was injured during this but did not need to go to the hospital.

Police reported that the assault “possibly” had to do with the sexual abuse case. That is currently being investigated. “The police and the Public Prosecution Service understand that sexual assault crimes can bring out a lot of emotions. However, it is not the intention for people to take the law into their own hands,” the police said. They are calling on witnesses of the assault to come forward.

The 26-year-old relative of the man who was assaulted was arrested on Tuesday for owning and filming videos of child sex abuse. The suspect pretended to be a young girl, using this to convince hundreds of underage boys to do sexual acts in front of a camera via social media. He would record these acts by screen recording.

He also allegedly sexually abused a young boy. The suspect is currently detained.
