Verstappen starts from P2 in the Spanish Grand Prix, Norris takes pole position
Max Verstappen will start from second place at the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon. McLaren driver Lando Norris took pole position in Barcelona for the second time in his career.

However, Verstappen can win the Spanish Grand Prix for the third time. Eight years ago, the Dutchman from Red Bull won his first race in Catalonia's premier motorsport class.
In the championship standings, Verstappen is 56 points ahead of Charles Leclerc, who will start from the fifth row in Spain. The second row of the grid is reserved for Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.
"We can be happy with this performance and have everything to race for on Sunday," Verstappen said after qualifying on Saturday. The young F1 driver struggled during the practice sessions beforehand and was never the fastest at any point.
The race starts on Sunday at 3 p.m.
