Temperatures climb up briefly on Sunday before dropping next week
Temperatures were expected to reach a warm 25 degrees Celsius on Sunday. A 30 percent chance of rain remained, possibly interrupting outdoor plans, according to the meteorological experts at the KNMI. However, no severe weather warnings were anticipated.
The day will be mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of sunshine. A gentle breeze will accompany the day coming from the southwest.
The KNMI predicted “calm summer weather” for Sunday. At night, temperatures will drop down to a fresh 14 degrees.
The warm daytime temperatures will not remain for long. From Monday onwards, maximum temperatures will in the lower 20s and the chance of rain increases throughout the course of the week.
“Mostly dry summer weather with temperatures probably slightly below the long-term average,” are expected through August 27, the KNMI said.
