Woman arrested at Schipol for attacking flight crew in mask dispute
A 41-year-old woman from Poland was arrested at Schiphol Airport on Monday morning for attacking crew members on a flight from Canada, the Koninklijke Marechaussee said on Facebook.
According to the Koninklijke Marechaussee, a policing force that works as part of the Dutch military and is responsible for airport security, the woman hit, kicked and bit the crew members. According to broadcaster NOS, this conflict arose when the crew instructed the woman that she had to wear a face mask.
To prevent further escalation, the cabin crew handcuffed the woman. She was transferred to the Marechaussee upon arrival at Schiphol. She is in custody for further investigation. The crew members filed a report against her.
