Dutch broadcaster launches educational live show for kids

Broadcaster NPO is launching an educational live show to keep kids entertained and learning during their Covid-19 imposed social isolation. The daily educational talk show will Zapplive Extra start broadcasting on NPO app and NPO Start on Wednesday, NOS reports.

The show will feature experts who can answer children's questions about the coronavirus and other things. Children can ask their questions and start a conversation, NPO said. "Of course there is also room for relaxation and tips given on how to best get through the days at home."

According to the national broadcaster, Zapplive Extra is an education alternative that connects every afternoon to educational Zapp programs like biology show Smerige Quiz, science show Willem Wever, and nature show Freeks Wilde Wereld.

There will also be a new show focused on creativity, titled Klokhuis Maakt. On it Klokhuis presenters and experts will give children masterclasses on creating something.

Zapplive Extra will be on NPO Zapp and NPO Start every weekday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
