Disney+ chooses Netherlands as first market
The Netherlands is the first market to get Disney's new streaming service Disney+. From today, Dutch consumers can test out Disney+ before the streaming service is released worldwide in November, NU.nl reports.
The Disney+ app is now available to download on both the Android and iOS app stores. The streaming service features movies and series from the Disney empire, which includes Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars productions.
A few months ago American news site The Information already predicted that Disney will use the Netherlands to test its new service. By doing so, Disney prevents technical problems from entering the competitive American market, according to NU.nl.
Disney+ will officially release on November 12th. The service will cost 6.99 euros per month.
