Pram hit in Amsterdam hit-and-run; baby hurt

A pram was hit by a car in Amsterdam on Monday afternoon. The child inside was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. The driver involved left the scene of the accident and the police are looking for them.

The accident happened at around 2:50 p.m. on the corner of Jan van Galenstraat and Jan Tooropstraat. The pram was hit by a silver-gray Volkswagen, according to the police. Police officers searched the area after the hit-and-run, but found no trace of the driver.

The severity of the child's injuries is unknown. The child's mother, who was pushing the pram, was unharmed, according to NOS.

The police call on witnesses and people with camera footage or photos of the hit-and-run to come forward.
