Police release footage of €180,000 diamond heist

The police released footage of a robbery at a jewelry store in Roermond in December last year. Four men stole 180 thousand euros worth of diamonds. The police hope that the public can help identify the perpetrators.

The robbery happened on Saturday, 29 December 2018. Four men walked into jewelry store Designer Outlet Roermond on Stadsweide. One of them distracted the staff, while the other three opened a display case and took out the diamonds. They then left the store.

The robbery was kept quiet for a long time while the police first tried to identify the suspects with other investigative methods, the police said to 1Limburg. Witnesses were spoken to and the four men's photos were processed through all kinds of databases. As this did not succeed in identifying the suspects, the police are now calling on the public's help.
