Stabbing on Amsterdam street; two hurt

Two people were injured in a stabbing incident on Albert Cuypstraat in Amsterdam just before noon on Monday. One of the victims sustained serious injuries, the Amsterdam police said on Twitter.

That victim was working as a food courier on the Uber Eats platform, according to the Telegraaf. Both victims were taken to hospital. The perpetrator or perpetrators fled on foot.

Police said an argument occurred before the stabbing. One witness thought the food delivery person was stabbed in the stomach before losing consciousness on the street, the newspaper reported.

The police are looking for two men, according to descriptions spread on citizens' notification service Burgernet. One was wearing a blue sweater and a cap. The other is roughly 30 years old, wearing a black bag across his shoulder.
