Man beaten in Almere business park dies from injuries

A 38-year-old man who was severely beaten at an Almere business park on Saturday morning has died from injuries sustained in the assault. Police were still looking for the suspect on Tuesday morning.

A blonde woman was seen shooting video of the incident at Markerkant 11 in Almere Stad. Police were hopeful that the woman would contact authorities to share any images she obtained.

Witnesses said the man was beaten with a club at about 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to a police report and an account published by Nu.nl. Paramedics and a helicopter ambulance were dispatched shortly thereafter.

By the time police arrived the suspect had already fled the scene. The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

No description of the suspect was released by authorities. Police said they have already questioned several witnesses, but would like anyone with more information to contact them immediately.
