Gelderland girl, 16, missing

The police are urgently searching for 16-year-old Melisa from the Gelderland village of Deelen. The girl left her mother in Borne on foot at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday and hasn't been seen since. It is not known where she was heading.

The police consider this disappearance as urgent and worrying, a spokesperson told broadcaster NOS. All means are being used to find this girl.

Melissa is 1.53 meters tall with brown eyes and brown, shoulder length hair. She wears a nose ring and sometimes wears a headscarf to not stand out, according to the police. "If you have any information on the whereabouts of this missing person, please contact the police", the police said.
