Two house fires in Kaatsheuvel; two hospitalized
Emergency services in Kaatsheuvel had their hands full with two house fires in the Noord-Brabant village during the early hours of Monday morning. A total of two people were taken to hospital with injuries, Brabants Dagblad reports.
The first fire broke out in a home on Poorthuys at around 2:30 a.m.. Two people were rescued from the home. One was taken to hospital by ambulance, to be treated for smoke inhalation. The fire did a great deal of damage to the home.
A short time later, emergency services responded to a fire in a home on Vossenbergselaan. There a man was rescued from the home with the fire truck's aerial platform. The man was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
The cause of both fires is not yet clear.
These were not the only fires in Noord-Brabant on Monday morning. A woman was killed in a fire in Veldhoven, and three people were injured in a fire Liessel apartment building.
