Train traffic around Amsterdam, Utrecht seriously disrupted

Train traffic around Amsterdam and Utrecht is currently seriously disrupted due to a train colliding with a person. NS warns of severe delays that will last at least until 12:30 p.m.

No trains are currently running between Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena and Utrecht Central Station, Schiphol Airport and Utrecht Central Station, and Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena and Bruekelen, NU.nl reports. NS advises passengers traveling between these stations to postpone their journeys or opt for an alternative form of transport. Those who still take the train should take crowded trains and delays into account.

NS deployed buses to transport passengers between Utrecht Central Station and Zuilen, Maarssen and Breukelen, and Amsterdam Holdendrecht and Abcoude.
