Man found dead in Amsterdam Zuidoost committed suicide

A man the police found dead on Huntumdreef in Amsterdam Zuidoost on Monday night, took his own life. The police saw the man committing suicide while they were searching Maasdrielhof for suspects of a shooting that happened shortly before a kilometer away, Het Parool reports.

At around 8:15 p.m. a 50-year-old man was shot at a home on Maasdrielhof. The victim was taken to hospital and is not in life-threatening danger. Three suspects were seen fleeing the scene.

The police are investigating whether the incidents on Huntumdreef en Maasdrielhof are connected.
