Shots fired at Amsterdam restaurant; police looking for witnesses
Multiple shots were fired at a restaurant on Slotermeerlaan in Amsterdam during the early hours of Tuesday morning. No one was injured in the shooting. The police are looking for witnesses.
The police received a report of gun shots at around 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday. At the scene responding officers found three bullet holes at the back of the building, on Cornelis van Vollenhovenstraat. Witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored scooter drive away from the scene after the shooting.
A trace evidence investigation was done at the scene. The police are looking for witnesses who saw or heard something on Slotermeerlaan or Cornelis van Vollenhovenstraat between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday. "People who have footage, for example from a surveillance camera or dash cam, that may be of interest to the investigation are also asked to contact the police", the police said in a statement.
