More snow expected this week
After a mild weekend, motorists will again have to be careful of icy and slick roads due to freezing night time temperatures this week. There is also an increasing chance of snow from Tuesday evening, Weeronline reports.
Monday will see maximum temperatures ranging between 4 and 6 degrees, usual temperatures for this time of year. On Monday night, minimums will drop to around 1 or 2 degrees Celsius. There is a chance of slick roads due to winter showers.
On Tuesday evening the chance of snow increases from the southwest. There may also be some snow during the day on Wednesday, though the western and southwestern parts of the country are more likely to see rain or wet snow. The precipitation amounts vary per model calculation, but some models expect over 5 centimeters of snow. Maximums on Wednesday will range between 1 and 3 degrees.
There is also a chance of snow on Thursday, Friday and over the weekend, but with daytime temperatures between 2 and 4 degrees, the snow will melt away quickly.
