Seven fall ill at Amsterdam ROC school

Seven people became unwell at a ROC school on Tempelhofstraat in Amsterdam West on Wednesday afternoon. The school was evacuated after a "strange smell" was noticed, which gave the seven people irritated airways and stinging eyes, Het Parool reports.

"Everyone was examined at the scene by present ambulance workers. Nobody needed to be taken to hospital for further examination", a spokesperson for the fire department said to the newspaper.

The fire department searched for the cause of the strange smell, but couldn't find anything. The school was allowed to reopen later in the afternoon.
