Missing Dutch man's ID documents found in Norway: report

Items belonging to  found in Norway on Tuesday included his identity documents, according to Norwegian television station TV2. The police did not say exactly what items were found. Two Dutch police officers arrived in Bodø to help in the investigation into the Amsterdam computer expert's disappearance, Het Parool reports.

The on Tuesday night. They were found near the coast in the vicinity of Kvaenflaget, a small mountain between Fauske and Rognan.

Kamphuis went hiking in Norway last month. He was set to return to the Netherlands on August 22nd, but never made it back. His employer reported him missing on August 29th, according to the Dutch police. He was last seen in Bodø on August 20th. 

The local police have reason to believe that Kamphuis traveled by train from Bodo to Rognan on August 20th. Whether he was actually in the area where his belongings were found, is not yet clear. 

The Norwegian police received 25 tips about Kamphuis after sharing information about his disappearance on television. A witness reported seeing him in Denmark early this month. 

Last week the Dutch police reported that Kamphuis' on August 30th, in the vicinity of Vikeså, around 50 kilometers south of Stavanger. After that, the SIM card was removed and a German SIM card was put into the phone.
