Minor turns self in for shooting boy, 4, with air rifle

An underage child, along with his parents, turned himself in to the police for shooting a 4-year-old boy with an air rifle in Zwaag, Noord-Holland on Sunday. The 4-year-old boy was seriously injured. The minor went to the police on Monday night, NOS reports.

The toddler was playing outside with friends on Sunday afternoon when he suddenly got a pain in his chest and had trouble breathing. His mother took him to a hospital, where they found an air rifle bullet in his body. The bullet caused his lung to collapse.

The police are investigating what role the suspect played in this incident.
