Boy, 4, dies after rescue from Hoofddorp lake

A 4-year-old boy who was found unconscious in the Toolenburgerplas in Hooffdorp on Sunday afternoon, passed away later that evening, the police confirmed to RTL Nieuws on Monday.

A swimmer found the boy at the bottom of the lake. Multiple emergency services responded to the scene.

The child was resuscitated and rushed to hospital, where he passed away.
