Two cops fired for serious dereliction of duty
The Oost-Nederland police fired two employees this week for serious dereliction of duty.
The first employee's dismissal was announced on Monday, the Telegraaf reports. The employee is suspected of consulting the police systems for private purposes and "a lack of transparency in the accountability of his actions". The employee was previously put on probation and went wrong again in the 3 years probation period.
On Thursday an employee who was suspended in November last year, was officially dismissed. The police started an investigation into the employee after the suspicion arose that he deliberately recorded information in the police systems incorrectly. The investigation has now been completed and the suspicions were confirmed. The man was dismissed for serious dereliction of duty.
