Police fire shots after wild chase through Groningen

Police officers fired shots at a motorist after chasing him through Groningen city center during the early hours of Wednesday morning. The suspect was arrested and no one was injured.

The police reported the incident on Twitter around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The police received a report of someone driving dangerously in the center of Groningen. They spotted the motorist, who sped away when he noticed the cops. The officers gave chase.

After "a wild pursuit with high speeds through the center of Groningen", the chase ended on the onramp to the A7 at Hoogkerk. The police shot at the car to bring it to a standstill.
