Woman sexually assaulted on train, man arrested

A 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted on a train between Tilburg and Breda on Monday evening. A 21-year-old man from Roosendaal was arrested, the police said in a statement.

The woman was on the train around 6:50 p.m. on Monday. The man started talking to her, and suddenly started groping at her, she said to the police.

The victim reported wat happened to the conductor. Security guards took the man off the train at the station on Gravinnen van Nassauboulevard in Breda, where the police arrested him.

The suspect is in custody for investigation.

In February a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on a train from Emmen to Coevorden. The police released footage of the perpetrator in April, only to later realize that the man was already in custody for another crime.
