Two seriously hurt in boat accident on Friesland lake

Two people were seriously injured when two boats crashed into each other on De Brekken, a lake near the Friesland town of Lemmer, the police said on Twitter.

The accident happened around 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night. The two injured people were sailing on a dinghy. They collided with another vessel.

A 20-year-old man fro Lemmer was arrested. The police did not say how he was involved in the accident. According to the Telegraaf, he was steering the other vessel.
