Amsterdam police make 31 King's Night arrests

The Amsterdam police arrested 31 people during King's Night festivities in the Dutch capital on Thursday night. The night was busy, but without any major incidents, Het Parool reports.

The number of arrests was about the same as last year, a spokesperson for the police said to the newspaper. Arrests were made for various violations, like pickpocketing and public intoxication.

"Nothing unusual happened. For our colleagues, the night was comparable to a busy weekend night. We of course did have more officers on the street", the police spokesperson said.
