Mother hits child, 2, with car

A mother hit her own 2-year-old child with a car on Oude Telgterweg in Ermelo on Sunday afternoon. The child was seriously injured, De Gelderlander reports.

The accident happened just before 4:30 p.m. It seems that the mother didn't see her child when pulling her car out.

Multiple police cars, an ambulance, and an air ambulance responded to the scene. The child was rushed to hospital.

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
