Cop falls ill while investigating drug waste

A police officer fell ill while investigating possible drug waste dumped in Alphen on Wednesday morning. He was taken to hospital, the police said on Twitter.

Around 40 jerry cans of what is believed to be drug waste were dumped at the corner of Fransebaan and Oude Gilzerbaan.

The police closed down the road. A specialist company was called in to clean up the waste.
