Body of missing Brit found in Amsterdam water

The body of a 30-year-old man from Newcastle was found in the water of the Afrikahaven in Amsterdam on Sunday evening. The British man has been missing since he fell off a party boat in the Noordzeekanaal on November 19th, Het Parool reports.

The man went overboard near Westzaan. The captain of the ship threw a life jacket to him, but the man disappeared under water. Despite multiple searches using boats, sonar equipment, helicopters and fire brigade divers, the man could not be found.

The authorities informed the man's family in Newcastle that his body was found. Investigation revealed that the man was not killed in a crime, according to the newspaper.
