Six arrests in large Brabant cannabis cultivation investigation

Six people were arrested in connection with a large investigation into organized cannabis cultivation in Noord-Brabant on Monday. The police also searched 16 properties in Tilburg, Goirle, Eindhoven and Kaatsheuvel.

According to the police, a Tilburg detective team got wind of the suspects while breaking down a number of illegal cannabis plantations. The suspects are two women from Tilburg (35 and 66), a 44-year-old woman from Goirle, two men (40 and 52) and a 36-year-old woman from Eindhoven. They are all in custody.

The police searched 12 addresses in Tilburg, one in Goirle, two in Eindhoven and one in Kaatsheuvel, getting help from a special military search team and sniffer dogs. Investigators seized a small cannabis plantation with around 40 plants, cannabis growing equipment, fake firearms, ecstasy pills, cars and computers.
