Woman forced off the road, stabbed in Rotterdam

A 24-year-old woman was forced off the road and then stabbed on Zinkerstraat in Rotterdam on Sunday morning. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries. A 37-year-old man from Rotterdam was arrested, the police said in a statement.

The incident happened around 7:15 a.m., according to newspaper AD. The suspect is the woman's ex, the newspaper reports. The police only said that they know each other from the past.

The woman was driving on Zinkerstraat when another car pushed her off the road. She crashed into an apartment building. "Shortly thereafter the victim was stabbed", the police said in a statement. A doctor who lives on the street gave the victim first aid before she was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Her current condition is unknown.

When the police arrived at the scene, the 37-year-old man was still standing next to the cars. He was arrested and taken to a police station for questioning. The police are investigating the circumstances around the incident.
