Dutch King visits Apeldoorn homeless shelter

King Willem-Alexander paid a surprise visit to Omnizorg in Apeldoorn, and its neighboring food garden, on Thursday. Omnizorg is a homeless shelter for people with addiction- or psychiatric problems, De Stentor reports.

The King was informed about the Groen Verbindt project - the Omnizorg garden in which both people living in the shelter and local residents can work. According to everyone who spoke, the garden works very well, the newspaper reports.

King Willem-Aexander spoke with Omnizorg residents, volunteers and people from the neighborhood.
