Bodies found in village canal identified as car accident victims

Two bodies found in the water of the Thijssengracht in Giethoorn on Monday, were identified as two Polish seasonal workers. Their car crashed into the canal last week, and they had been missing since, AD reports.

The victims are two men, aged 24 and 44 years. After the accident, divers searched the car and canal, but could not find the victims. Investigation confirmed that the two Polish men were the occupants of the car.

According to the police, the car crash was an accident and no crime was committed.
