One killed in elevator accident in Geldrop clothing store
A 55-year-old woman was killed in an accident involving an elevator in a clothing store in Geldrop on Wednesday afternoon, the police said on Twitter.
Emergency services responded to the store around 12:30 p.m. According to the police, it seems to be a workplace accident.
A spokesperson for the Social Affairs and Employment Inspectorate told Omroep Brabant that the victim's head got stuck in a freight elevator. The police and Inspectorate are investigating what happened.
According to newspaper AD, the accident happened in Miller & Monroe on Langstraat, a new clothing store. It's not clear whether the store is open yet.
