Teen suspected of murdering Bunschoten girl to remain in custody
The 16-year-old boy suspected of murdering 14-year-old Savannah from Bunschoten in June, will stay in custody for the next three months, the court ruled on Friday, NU.nl reports
The Public Prosecutor is charging the Den Bosch teenager with murder. The next hearing will be on November 24th.
The boy will initially be tried under juvenile justice, but the juvenile court can decide to switch to adult criminal law. As the suspect is underage, the trial will be held behind closed doors.
Savannah's body was found in a watery ditch on an industrial estate in her hometown on June 4th, three days after she went missing. The Den Bosch boy was arrested the day after her body was found.
