Dutch police try to identify murdered man found in sea

The police are trying to identify a man found killed in the sea in Noordwijk on Friday. Days of investigation failed to reveal who the man is, so the police showed a photo of him on Opsporing Verzocht on Tuesday.

The body was spotted by kite surfers near Langevelderslag around 3:45 p.m. on Friday, June 9th. According to the police, the man was a victim of crime.

The victim is a sturdy man presumably between the ages of 25 and 35 years old. He is 1.81 meters tall with dark hair, tanned skin and a remarkably large birthmark on his upper left arm. He had headphones with a microphone around his neck when he was found. A photo of the man can be seen here.

In addition to identifying the man, the police would also like to talk to anyone who saw him before Friday afternoon.
