Armed wrong-way drivers arrested on Dutch highway

Four men were arrested on the A10-Noord in Amsterdam on Monday morning for driving in the wrong direction. A firearm was found in one of the two involved cars. All four men are members of a "well known motorcycle gang", the police said in a statement.

The police pulled the two cars over around 1:00 a.m. on Monday morning. The suspects told the police that they were driving in the wrong direction because other cars were trying to force them off the road.

The police did not reveal which motorcycle gang the suspects belong to. A spokesperson for the police told NU.nl that the suspects are all in restricted custody, which means they're only allowed contact with their lawyers.
