Video: Pizzeria armed robber mugged after heist; Police ask for help
The police released surveillance camera footage of an armed robber being robbed by two other robbers in a Domino's Pizza on Kerstendijk in Rotterdam in April. The police are looking for all three robbers and call on anyone who recognizes them or has any information about their whereabouts to come forward.
The robberies happened on April 22nd. At 10:34 p.m. an armed man walked into the Dominos and ordered the four employees, who were busy cleaning and closing the store, to open the safe. None of the employees were able to do so. Instead they gathered money from each other and the cash register and put it in the office for the robber.
While this was happening, two other men enter the store, at least one of them armed. They ordered everyone inside, including the first robber, to lie down on the floor. They took the money the employees had gathered for the first robber and left.
The clearly frustrated first robber got up, he grabbed some change from the register, took the employees' phones and one handbag and left. A witness saw him fleeing on a scooter, a black Piaggio ZIP200. He drove away in the direction of Emelissedijk. Later that night the personal belongings of one of the Domino's employees were found in a bicycle tunnel on Groeninx van Zoelenlaan.
