Apeldoorn school asks police to investigate student sexting

A high school in Apeldoorn called in the police after realizing the sexual images of students are circulating in the school. The case came to light when the parents of one of the victimized students notified the school, Omroep Gelderland reports.

The school is working with the police to find out who received the images and who is spreading them, the rector of the school community KSG said to the broadcasters.

The rector calls this a "very difficult" case. "Students estimate the consequences of sexting differently. They are too trusting. So we pay a lot of attention to it at school in lessons."

The victimized students are both girls and boys. They are attending school as usual.
